She was lying in bed
After an exhausting day
As soon as she closed her eyes
Some visions started to display
There were some dark shadows
Moving on the ceiling
She woke up all of a sudden
Thinking she must be hallucinating
Next night again
She feared the same pain
And her expectations were not in vain
She thought she must be going insane
As the visits still remained the same
She fought with them again and again
But the shadows took control of her brain
They made her soul cripple
As they approached her in multiple
Now she had seen too much
One hand on chest, another on leg
She wanted to know more about their existence
So she started visiting temples and beg
Beg to know the reason
Why spirits visited her
“Oh God, why me?”,
she asked with vision blur
She is still looking for answers
After years of experiencing the same horror
She still doesn’t know what her fault was Or
Why did she had to face the excruciating fear!

Beautiful and haunting piece! This sounds a bit like sleep paralysis aka Hypnogogia.
I suffer from it and see all kinds of wild and often scary stuff. Itβs cause my body is awake but my brain is still in dream mode.

Thanks.. and yes it’s really haunting.
I can totally imagine what you must have gone through. It’s not easy.
I guess overstress is the cause. I am not sure. But once it starts, it instills so much fear that a person doesn’t really wish to sleep anymore.
